Growing kids' creativity and confidence through the art of sewing!
The School of StitchCraft is conveniently located in West Orange, NJ. We welcome students of all levels, offering a variety of formats to best meet their individual needs.
Why Sewing?
As a middle school teacher for the last 20 years, I am well-attuned to the needs of children and adolescents. Sewing provides students with skills and habits that will serve them well in all aspects of their lives, such as:
-
Problem-solving
-
Patience
-
Hand-eye coordination and dexterity
-
Following directions carefully
-
A creative outlet
-
A practical skill
-
An appreciation for craftsmanship in our fast-paced, fast-fashion world.
And it's REALLY fun!
Why the School of StitchCraft?
At the School of StitchCraft, students will find:
-
A highly experienced teacher who understands the needs of children and adolescents, and has a passion for all things sewing.
-
A supportive environment that nurtures the whole child.
-
Small class sizes to ensure that students learn basic sewing skills and also have the freedom and support to make creations of their choice.
-
Dedication to the success and growth of all students.
